The OEM Toyota head bolts are perfectly fine for stock power, the ARP head studs are good for just about anything most people can push through their 2JZ. What you probably didn't know is that on top of being far superior - the ARP head studs are cheaper to buy new than the OEM Toyota bolts
This head stud kit will work with 2JZ-GTE as well as 2JZ-GE. VVTi as well as non VVTi engines.
These head studs are manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel and heat treated to 200,000 psi. They are thread rolled after the heat treating process, which vastly improves their fatigue tolerance compared to studs threaded before heat treatment. High-quality, parallel ground washers included. Exact tolerances ensure that gaskets and cylinder heads just glide into position and align perfectly.
